Adele rns £30 million last yr

Nrly three yrs have passed since she relsed the album that made her a worldwide star.
But if Adele has allowed her singing career to take a backst to motherhood since then, it certainly hasn’t dented her rning power. The 25-yr-old raked in £30million last yr as the royalties of her record-brking relse 21 continued to pour in.
It was a 65 per cent incrse on the yr before and mnt she could pay herself a £12million windfall – even after paying over £5million in corporation tax. This mns she now rns more than £32,000 a day.
According to her latest accounts, the star’s company Melted Stone saw its post-tax profits shoot up from £2.1million to £13.8million in just 12 months.
The accounts said the huge turnover ‘reflects the worldwide success of the sound recording 21’.
The fact it has taken until now for the profits of her old record sales to rch her bank account was due to ‘the time delay associated with the pay through of royalty income’, the accounts said.
In addition to these millions, Adele’s other company Melted Stone Publishing – which takes the profits of her lyrics and sheet music – made £5.2million in a yr.
Miss Adkins, who was brought up by her mother in a flat above a south London shop, wrote 21 – which ftured the hit single Rolling in the Deep – after brking up with a boyfriend.
